New weight: 243.4lbs!

So, that's a thing. It's almost like cutting out liquid calories and being thoughtful about what I eat might have a result.

Officially that's a 6.6lb drop. Realistically, I lost part of that before I started the blog and started seriously tracking, and my previous weighing of myself (which, honestly, was a week or two before this started) was done mid-day or evening. Still, I think overall it's a good sign. Next week will be the real test.

On that note, I've tracked 3 days in a row, and have been at or under my caloric goals each day. I'm pretty proud of that. Yesterday was -slightly- over (102% of goal), but that's fiddly bits and not that important. I'm still well below my maintenance intake. In a perfect world, I'll be about 241 next week - my caloric goals are based on trying to lose 2lbs per week, which will get me to my goal weight of 185 around September. I should be down to about 220 in June - probably not going to have a beach bod in time for beach season, but that's okay - I'll have one the rest of my life if I do this right :D

Next up is getting set up with the gym - I've done my orientation, so I'm all set to go in theory. In reality, getting started is rough. I either need to get up early (bleh), or go after work and deal with a crowded gym. Then there's dealing with my own excuses - the current one being "I don't have anything to wear" ... yeah, I know. The easiest fix to that one, though, is to remove any truth to it - I'll be going shopping here soon for suite of work out clothes (shorts, mostly) so I won't even have the excuse that none of it's clean. Then I just have to tackle my other excuses one by one until I'm in the gym regularly.

Next weigh-in is on the 28th (assuming I remember), and next measurement taking is on the 14th of April.
